Maths, Probability and Statistics Refresher¶

This document contains a brief refresher on key mathematics, probability and statistics topics. It is intended for the use of students taking the MSc in Health Data Science at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Typos, corrections and questions¶

Inevitably there will be some typos in these notes. Please do let us know any you spot (at: mailto:mschds@lshtm.ac.uk) and we will correct them.

In particular, the “worked solutions” are in beta form. These have not yet been subjected to proof reading. We are in the process of doing so, but have included them in the meantime in case they are helpful at this stage.
